LLK5
Real-time Laser Optical Sound Recorder for
35mm analog and digital sound tracks

Cleaner Audio through Laser Technology

The LLK5 is a unique optical sound recorder that substantially improves the quality of optical sound recording by applying “state of the art“ laser technology.

It simplifies the production of the sound negative significantly since no mechanical moving parts are employed in the optical recording path, and offers exceptional proven operational reliability.

The laser technique used in the LLK5 also creates excellent wow and flutter characteristics. The recording is independent from the film speed due to the digital buffer storage of the sound (within defined limits.)

Audio is input through transformer balanced analog XLR inputs with built-in limiter, or via the AES/EBU 48KHz Digital input.

Features:

• High reliability
• Easy to use
• Excellent sound quality
• Simultaneous recording of analog mono/stereo sound, optional DTS, DOLBY SR*D and SDDS

Magyar FilmLab, Hungary says:
“Since MWA Nova, a German company produces the best dubbing sounds we have chosen their machine.

We can clearly state that the introduction of this device has induced a great leap in the quality of the optical sound transfer.”

Magyar purchased its LLK3 in 1999.
